During my time with Flat Earth Designs I learned how to cast concrete designs. From small to large scale I mixed cement and poured concrete into a variety of molds. Below is a project of custom chair designs made for a hotel in California. After pouring and setting molds, I de-molded and filed down the surface to create the desired texture. I made 42 of these chairs as well as numerous smaller items. An example of one, a planter, is shown below as well.
