For this project I transformed a geodesic dome into an interactive experience. Intended to host a dance party, I worked with a reflective material to emulate a disco ball. I calculated the measurements for the triangles and sourced cardboard and mylar as my materials. I managed a group of volunteers, who assisted with an assembly line of cutting and covering triangles with mylar, and installing onto dome. I also included ambient lighting and a rotating disco ball on the inside of the dome to accentuate the reflective element of the triangles. The design housed a silent disco for the Bakery’s 2018 Halloween party, which was attended by over a thousand people.
